Area Works

PreviousAreas To ViewsNextDrawings

Last updated 3 months ago

The Area Works tool enhances Revit’s out-of-the-box schedules, filling the gaps by allowing users to create on-the-fly schedules based on area ranges and custom parameters. The generated schedules are formatted for clarity, making them easy to interpret and present.

This tool also supports exporting schedules to Excel and enables users to generate "fake" schedules in Revit, which can be placed on sheets.

If If Automatic Schedule Update is enabled, the "fake" schedules will automatically update when synchronizing, saving, or opening sheets.

Features Overview

  • Dynamic Schedule Creation: Users can define area-based schedules that Revit does not generate by default.

  • Custom Metrics & Parameters: Users can add metrics to analyze area percentages based on specific ranges.

  • Export to Excel: Quickly export all generated schedules for further analysis.

  • Custom Revit Schedules: Create and place custom schedules on Revit sheets, formatted for c

  • Full Customization: Users can modify area definitions and parameters to suit project requirements.

Workflow

1. Creating Custom Schedules

  • Select the area scheme.

  • Define custom area categories and their ranges.

  • Click Add Metric to analyze area percentages based on parameters.

  • View the formatted schedule instantly.

2. Exporting Schedules

  • Click Export to Excel to download the data for further processing.

3. Creating Revit Schedules
