Associated Parameters

The Associated Parameters tool allows you to automatically transfer values from host elements (such as walls) to their hosted elements (such as windows or doors).

This is particularly helpful when certain attributes — like wall thickness, fire rating, wall type, or acoustic rating — need to be reflected in the hosted elements for coordination, documentation, or scheduling purposes.

With just a few clicks, you can:

• Select a source parameter from walls

• Choose a destination parameter on windows and doors

• Apply the values across selected families and types

This ensures data consistency across your model, reduces manual work, and improves the quality of your schedules and exports.
