Colour by Parameter

The Colour by Parameter tool enables fast visual auditing and model checking by applying color overrides to elements in the active view based on selected parameter values.

You can choose a parameter (e.g. Assembly Code, Type Mark, Fire Rating) and the tool will:

• Group elements by their parameter values

• Assign a unique color to each group

• Apply color overrides directly in the active Revit view

• Optionally select the elements or use the filters in view templates

This is especially useful for façade design, where you can instantly visualize different systems (e.g. panel types or wall assemblies) based on a shared parameter.
